Description
The I-Beam Connecting rods for Ford 2.5L 20v Focus RS MKII are manufactured from 4340 high tensile steel, designed for high performance, extreme durability and extra rigidity. The bushings are made from AMPCO 18 material for excellent resistance to wear and fatigue and have radial grooves for oil reservoirs. They are shot peened to relieve stress and multi-stage heat treated to increase rigidity. Each rod includes ARP 2000 cap fasteners rated at 220,000psi, with optional ARP L19 material available as an upgrade. Additional machining processes include dowel sleeves for perfect fit, lipped cap relief for improved big-end integrity, and grooves in thrust face for weight reduction.
