Powerflex Road Series Lower Torque Mount, Fast Road – PFF5-220
The PFF5-220 Lower Torque Mount, Fast Road, is expertly designed to replace the softer rubber voided OE mount, which is prone to cracking and allows for excessive engine movement and wheel hop. This innovative mount bracket and bush, available in Yellow 70A and Purple 80A, is 300% stiffer than the worn OE mount, making it ideal for fast road use in standard or mildly tuned cars.
Combining a CNC machined aluminium lower torque mount with various durometer bush options to suit different states of tune, the PFF5-220 significantly reduces engine movement, resulting in more balanced on/off throttle handling and improved gear shifting precision. Installation is a breeze, requiring just two bolts to swap out the old mount for the new one, with no need to press out any rubber.
While a small increase in NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) at idle is to be expected when stiffening the connecting mount between the engine/transmission and chassis, the benefits far outweigh this minor drawback. The harder the material used, the greater the NVH transmitted, but the unique dual compound design of the PFF5-220 balances performance to limit engine movement with minimal impact on NVH.
The PFF5-220 replaces both shapes of OE bracket, covering OE numbers 22116783094, 22114052474, and 22116772040. With a CNC machined and anodised 6082-T6 Aluminium bracket, this lower torque mount is a robust and reliable upgrade for any fast road enthusiast.
